a year ago today was the Final Confrontation of the boss battle that was my solo weekend trip to germany for eurovision!! you know, the one where everything that could go wrong did go wrong? yes, that one.

THINGS THAT HAPPENED A YEAR AGO TODAY:

• i ate nothing but pretzels all day
• i got to eurovision 7 hours early
• i read the eurovision program about fifteen times
• my original seat was DIRECTLY BEHIND the tech booth so they moved me
• i got to experience sognu live ////////
• eric saade was hot
• taken by a stranger. just… taken by a stranger. the only song the entire crowd stood up for!!!
• azerbaijan!
• train back to essen was like an hour late
• getting hassled by drunk germans during this time (they pulled my hair and tried to speak words at me, haha jokes on you the only german words i know are hauptbahnhof and hausaufgaben)
• spider in my hotel room

totally worth it, though
